Hybrid e-bikes have front suspension and thicker tyres than electric road bikes (although not as thick as mountain bike tyres), which means they are great to ride on gentle tracks and trails. However, hybrid e-bikes are also superb on the road – they come in men’s and women’s frame styles and are built for comfort.

Are there any laws surrounding electric hybrid bikes?

The only difference between the laws in relation to a hybrid electric bike and normal standard bike is that you must be 14 years of age or older to ride an electric bike. The bike must not assist you to over 15.5mph or 25.kmh and it is essential that you abide by the Highway Code at all times while on the bike.
