We are lucky to have direct access to quiet country lanes and on and off-road cycle routes. So whether you are looking for a fun, family day out, extreme mountain biking or a group or corporate adventure. Here are a few days out and routes you might like to try:
E-bike Hire: Family days out
A gentle off-road e-bike trail to Hursley for lunch at the award-winning Kings Head pub. c. 10 miles return. Take quiet country roads to Hampshire’s highest village, Owslebury (making the most of your e-bike motor!), for lunch at The Ship Inn with beautiful views c. 10 miles return. Potter down the cycle path to Winchester and explore the cafés, market stalls and museums. Cycle around the grounds of Winchester College and climb the iron age hill fort, St Catherine’s Hill. c. 8 miles return. Pack a picnic and head further afield to Farley Mount Country Park, where you can explore the endless e-bike trails through woodland and downland. 15 miles return.

It is c. 3 miles to the start of the South Downs Way along an easy, flat cycle path. The South Downs Way is one of the country’s finest off-road cycle routes and riding it on an e-bike is the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful views, but challenging hills! We are in an ideal location to hire an e-bike for your Isle of Wight holiday. If you are in a car, we are just off the M3 on the way to Southampton, Portsmouth or Lymington for the ferries. Or you can take the train – we are next to Shawford Station, which goes on to both Southampton & Portsmouth directly.
